Bechstein A 208. The sophisticated choice of materials is already decisive for the success of the instruments. The ribs, for example, are made of high-quality conifer wood, while the bracing and soundboard are made of mountain spruce wood. The other parts of the case are made of sturdy solid wood glued with appropriate block veneer. The Bechstein A 208's cast iron plate is also made of quality grey cast iron, highly resistant to pressure and able to support the fundamental tone. The cast nut bars in the treble and the emphasised duplex scales in the hitch pin area support a complex, colourful sound spectrum. In the mid and bass register, the length of the speaking strings is limited by special agraffes. The strings and tuning pins are made with the finest materials.
