C.Bechstein Academy A 208

A grand piano for every repertoire: the Bechstein A 208 delights professionals and quality-minded amateurs alike.

A grand piano for any repertoire, whether chamber music or large-scale solo works. The Bechstein A 208 salon grand offers a wide range of tonal and dynamic colour, and its action is optimally precise and balanced. These special qualities, at an attainable price, have made it a sought-after grand piano at numerous music academies and conservatories worldwide.

The carefully selected materials of the C. Bechstein A 208

The demanding selection of materials is already decisive for the success of the instruments. The bracing beams, for example, are made of high-quality softwood, while the ribs and soundboard are made of tonewood (mountain spruce). The remaining case parts are made of stability-glued solid wood with matching veneer edging. The cast plate, formed in heavy sand, is also made of high-quality grey cast iron in the Bechstein A 208, extremely pressure-resistant and supportive of the fundamental tone. The capo bars cast into the treble and the duplex scales underlaid in the tail support a complex, colourful tonal spectrum. In the middle register and the bass, the sounding string length is limited by special agraffes. Strings and tuning pins are made of the finest material.

The salon grand from a long Bechstein tradition

In creating the Premium line, the C. Bechstein research and development department built on the traditional Bechstein sound profile: a wide spectrum of tonal colours and dynamics, noble and sublime in its development of sound. Inspiring: the professional Bechstein action with special hammer heads – made by C. Bechstein, Germany!
