The K 175 Tradition adopts Schimmel's innovative "Konzert" design concept, which transfers the characteristics of concert grand pianos into more compact models. As the manufacturer describes it: "to create the multitude of sound colours in our instruments, the 88 hammer heads of every single piano are hand-pricked up to 10,000 times with the finest voicing needles". The instrument features high-elasticity Merino felt hammer heads, resonance wood selected from Bavarian and Bohemian forests, and the exclusive Duratec strings, patented against oxidation.
Environmental protection and sustainability have been part of Schimmel's corporate philosophy since its founding in 1885.
